 Hey hey everybody!

Goodbye 2020 (don't let the door hit you on the way out) and hello 2021! Here's to a better year!

This show has mostly personal favorites from the last year's lockdown. Some of it is new, some of it new to me. I hope you hear something that sparks your imagination and keeps you humming in the months ahead.

Wear your mask! Keep your distance! Support local businesses, music and one another!

We will come out of this a kinder world, I just know it.

So without further adieu, here's to you.

St. Charles ... Throwing Muses (by far the track that sparked the most conversation this year)

Black Tears (Dicepeople remix) ... Leg Puppy

Don't Rain On My Parade ... Japan

Sunglasses at Night ... The Follow Ups *

Rasputin ... Russian Tim and the Pavel Bures *

Primitive Creatures ... Church of Trees *

There are at least as many tracks that couldn't be shoe horned into this hour.

Stay tuned....

Thanks for listening

Ruby Slippers Radio December 25 2020 7-8 pm

Hey hey everybody (or I should I say ho ho? 😀)

Here is the annual Xmas spectacular or extravaganza or whatever you wish to call it. This year is more traditionally based. No tracks about Santa's brains or zombies or stuff like that although I could not leave Frank the Christmas Turkey out of the mix, could I?

It has been a year for the books and I personally am so grateful for your continued support. It makes it a joy to put these shows together knowing someone out there might find a song or two to brighten the day.

Anyhow, before the eggnog starts talking here is the playlist (btw, in what alternate universe did someone think putting raw eggs into a drink was a good idea? Yikes.)

Present Face ... Garfunkel and Oates (always start with this one.)

Father Christmas ... Platinum Blonde *

Happy Holidays ... Glass Tiger and Roch Voisine *

I Believe In Father Christmas ... Emerson Lake and Palmer

Holly Herald ... Jethro Tull

The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot ... Nat King Cole (see the doc "Jingle Bell Rocks" for more insight)

Song For A Winter's Night ... Sarah McLachlan *

Hounds of Winter ... Sting (not Xmas but it's Sting for heaven sakes)

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas ... James Kasper * (love the lo fi quality of this track)

Silent Night ... The Jingles * (Canada's only Christmas band)

What Better Time Than Christmas ... Ghost Cousin *

Peace on Earth ... Greg Clarke * (to the rescue!)

This Christmas ... Peter Foldy *

Christmas With You ... James Collins *

FRANK THE CHRISTMAS TURKEY ... Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours

Christmas Don't Be Late ... the Chipmunks (ALVIN!!!)

White Christmas (extro)... Jingle Cats (and Dogs)

Be merry, stay safe, remain kind and bottoms up.

Will check in on January 1.

Much love and thanks for listening
